Mani Haqiqi joins ‘Eyes and Ears Shut’

Mani Haqiqi becomes latest addition to Iranian feature ‘Eyes and Ears Shut’.

Iranian actor and filmmaker Mani Haqiqi is the latest to join the cast of Iranian film ‘Eyes and Ears Shut’.

Directed by Farzad Motamen, the crew began filming its final phase in the capital city of Tehran just a few weeks ago.

The fantasy themed action comedy will be the first of its kind in the ‘Music Box’ director’s resume.

A description of the film reads “A man is murdered by a female criminal, with two strangers being arrested on murder charges. One did not witness the crime scene because he is blind, while the other merely witnessed the scene as he is deaf! They only have from sunrise to sunset to survive this deadlock…”

An award-winning actor and filmmaker, Haqiqi will be joining a cast list which includes Amin Hayaee, Bahram Afshari, Anahiya Dargahi, Masoud Keramati, Linda Kiani, Mohammad-Reza Solati, and Pouriya Poursorkh.

Haqiqi’s most recent appearance on ifilm was in the role of a doctor in Rambod Javan’s ‘No Men Allowed’.

Winner of the Crystal Simorgh for Best Original Screenplay for his 2005 film ‘Men at Work’, Haqiqi was also awarded the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) prize at the Asian Film Festival.
